Seller Commission
10%

Upfront Fees

Payment
10 days
after hammer falls
You receive 90% of the hammer price. The 15% buyer’s premium is paid by the buyer on top of the hammer, it does not reduce your proceeds. There are no listing fees, no upfront charges, and no cost if your lot does not sell. Your reserve is agreed in advance and remains confidential. If your lot is simulcast on LiveAuctioneers, their $525 listing fee applies, this is billed by LiveAuctioneers, not HeritageBids, and we’ll confirm it with you before your lot enters that catalog.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to ship my piece to you for evaluation?
No. Photographs are sufficient for a preliminary assessment. Physical handling is never required — lots ship directly from you to the winning buyer after the sale.
What if I don't know what my piece is worth?
That’s what the specialist review is for. Submit what you have and we’ll research comparable results and provide an honest estimate.
Can I set my own reserve?
Yes. The reserve is agreed between you and our specialist before the lot is catalogued. It is confidential and binding.
How long does the process take?
From submission to sale is typically 4–8 weeks, depending on the next scheduled sale date.
What happens after my lot sells?
The winning buyer pays HeritageBids directly. We issue your payment, 90% of hammer, within 10 business days. You then arrange shipment directly to the buyer; we provide their shipping details.
Do you accept consignments from outside the US?
Yes. We accept consignments from outside the United States. Since lots ship directly from you to the winning buyer, international consignors participate on the same terms, we confirm shipping logistics with you before your lot enters the catalogue.
