FAQ

Common questions

We currently focus on Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, the three most consistently traded houses in the secondary handbag market. Other recognized makers may be considered on a case-by-case basis; contact us with photographs before submitting.

Each piece is examined by hand: hardware finish, stitching, stamping, and interior date codes are checked against verified reference examples. We do not rely on box or paperwork alone — authentication is based on the bag itself.

It can still be submitted for review. Box, dust bag, and paperwork are noted in the listing when present, but their absence does not disqualify a piece, authentication is based on physical examination of the bag itself.

HeritageBids charges a flat 15% buyer’s premium on the hammer price, with no online surcharges or processing fees.

Submit clear photographs, exterior, interior, hardware, stamping, and any date code, through the consignment form at heritagebids.com/consign. A specialist will respond within 5 business days with a preliminary assessment.
